Mary, the daughter of William Sublett and Ruth Ford, was born November 15, 1799 in Bickingham County, Virginia and died January 8, 1879 in Butler County, Kentucky. Both are buried in a family cemetery back a road beside the Old Home Church in Butler County. It is between Caneyville and Morgantown on Highway 411. The cemetery is in a wooded area beside a cultivated field. Golson and Mary had the following:

George, the son of Woodford Lawrence and Elizabeth Ann "Kitty" Haynes, was born July 14, 1859 in Barren County, Kentucky and died January 10, 1943 in Butler County, Kentucky. They are the parents of Thomas Eldon Lawrence who married Leona Willis. Their daughter Gladys Lawrence married Millard Johnson.

Going back into the Embry line again is Sarah Embry. Francis Sebastian, who married Cader Embry, is the daughter of William Sebastian and Sarah Embry. So Nancy's Great grandmother, Sarah Embry, is also her great aunt.

Henry Embry is the father of Colonel Henry Embry I who married Martha Drew Patterson. Their son Henry Embry II and his wife Priscilla Wilkerson are the parents of William Grancer Embry Senior. William Grancer Embry Senior and Anne are the parents of Joel Joseph Embry Senior. Joel Joseph Embry Senior and his wifeare the parents of Sarah Embry who married William Sebastian. Sarah Embry and William Sebastian are the parents of Francis Sebastian who married Reverned Cader Embry. They are the parents of Golsun Embry who married Mary Polly Sublett. Their daughter Nancy Catherine Embry married William "Bill" Hazelip.Their daughter Olleviah Hazelip married George Dillard Lawrence. Nancy and Bill Hazelip are the parents of Olleviah Hazelip who married George Dillard Lawrence. Theirson is Thomas Eldon Lawrence who married Leona Willis. Their daughter is Lurie Gladys Johnson who married Millard Johnson.

Haynes

1. John Haynes married Margaret Andrews on April 29, 1783 in Rowan County, North Carolina. I found a John Haynes in the Revolutionary War in the book North Carolina Revolutionary War Soldiers-Pierces' Register Volume X page 270. He was a private and received 228 acres for 30 months of service. Within the limits of the lands allotted the officers and soldiers of the Continental Line, by law, 1783/1785. Then I find John Haynes had a claim for keeping Africans imported into the United States and in the book "Kentucky Land Grants" he received 100 acres on March 13, 1818 in Ohio County, Kentucky on Panther Creek John Haynes and Margaret Andrews had the following child:

1.Robert Hazelip was born November 7, 1758 in Rutherford County, North Carolina and died after 1824 in Edmondson County, Kentucky. Robert served in the Revolutionary War and married Millian Webb in North Carolina about 1794. Millian was born about 1768 in North Carolina and is the daughter of Dr. Webb. Roberts parents were Irish and Millian's were Welsh according to Perrin's History of Kentucky. They migrated to Barren County, Kentucky around 1810 where they remained for a short time until they located near the mouth of the Nolan River above Brownsville, Kentucky in Edmondson County and entered and improved several hundred acres. They had the following children:

Jane was born January 15, 1799 in Halifax County, Virginia and is the daughter of Jonathon Wesley and Sally Walker (a daughter of Doctor Walker). Jane Wesley died February 10, 1865 in Edmondson County, Kentucky. They are buried at Old Brownsville Cemetery located in Brownsville behind Patton Funeral Home on Washington Street. Merry and Jane were dedicated members of the Baptist Church are the parents of:

1. Edward Larrence was born in Virginia and died about 1786 in Fauquier County, Virginia. He was the son of John and Susanna Lawrence of Northcumberland County, Virginia. Edward moved to said county about 1738. His wife was Sarah as her name was listed on a deed when they sold land in 1738. It is not sure that she was his only wife. Edward Larrance had the following Child:

2. Richard Lawrence was probaly born in Prince William County, Virginia which later became a part of Fauquier County. He received the bulk of his father's land which he later sold and moved to Culpepper County, Virginia. He married Constance or Conney. She must have died before 1810 because when Richard appears on that census she is not with him. By the 1820 census he has several sons with him. Richard did not serve in the Revolutionary War but his future son-in-law (who married his daughter Elizabeth Lawrence) served in his place "since he was a family man and I am a single man". Richard is the father of:

3. Woodford Lawrence was born 1827 in Virginia and died 1869 in Warren County, Kentucky. He married 1. Elizabeth Ann "Kitty" Haynes in Barren County, Kentucky on February 4, 1855 in Barren County, Kentucky . Elizabeth was born in 1836 in Barren County, Kentucky and died there in 1863/1864 in Warren County, Kentucky. He married 2. Pheobe Adeline Haynes September 8, 1864 in Barren County, Kentucky. Pheobe was born 1844 and is the sister of Kitty his first wife, she and Kitty are both daughters of Charles Haynes and Sarah Larrance. According to Ted R. McDuffee, in 1838 Woodford at the age of eleven drove a team of Oxen through the Cumberland Gap from Virginia to Kentucky. Woodford and Kitty the the parents of the following children:

Olleviah, daughter of William "Bill" Hazelip and Nancy Embry, was born December 19, 1860 in Edmondson County, Kentucky and died February 12, 1935 in Butler County, Kentucky. George and Oleviah are buried at Threlkel Cemetery in Butler County. They are the parents of:

2. George Tildon Lawrence born October 19, 1878 at Round Hill, Butler County, Kentucky and died February 25, 1969 in Jefferson County, Kentucky and married Sarah Ann Key. Sarah was born March 21, 1877 and died October 14, 1951 in Butler County, Kentucky. Both buried at Threlkel Cemetery in Butler County.

4. Grover Cleveland Lawrence born January 22, 1885 and died July 6, 1964 in Butler County, Kentucky. He married Nokie Dorn Flener who was born September 29, 1883 in Brooklyn, Butler County and died September 1980 in same county. Both are buried in Smith Cemetery in Butler County, Kentucky.

She was born 1733 in Ambermarle County, Virginia. William married 2) Rhoda Skaggs about 1799 in Barren County, Kentucky. The Phelps first came into KY in the fall of 1778. Pitman's Station in Green County was founded in March of 1780 and Nicholas Phelps was among the first settlers. His parents, William Phelps II and Nancy Nail were soon to move to the settlement. The Indians broke up the station in March 1781. Many of the families there went to Nelson and Lincoln Co. The Phelps family moved to Pottinger's Station on Rolling Fork where they remained for about two years. Then they moved to Kilgore's Station on Red River. Between March 1781 until sometime in 1784 no white man lived in the bounds of the area which is now known as Green co. In 1784 the settlers returned to Pitman's station. It was approximately five years later that William and Nancy were involved in an Indian massacre at Pittman's Station in Green County. Nancy was killed in the attack and William was severely wounded. The rest of the family escaped massacre only through the courage and forethought of William and Nancy's son William Q. Phelps III. This information is found in Perrins History of Kentucky. James Phelps was born February 8, 1789 at Pitmans Station in Green County, Kentucky and died July 14, 1862 in Lumbustown in Butler County,Kentucky and married yEllenender "Nelly" Jones who was born April 22, 1792 in South Carolina and is the daughter of James and Nancy Jones . She died June 16, 1852, of dropsy, at Welches Creek in the same county.James received his early education in Green County, Kentucky and while he was a young man moved to what is now Butler County, whhich was then a part of Ohio, County, in an almost unbroken wilderness. Here he married an bought wild land on the waters of Welches Creek and erected a log cabin and improved a farm upon which he resided for many years. He then removed to Edmondson County, Kentucky where he resided for about six years after which he returned to Butler County again adjoining his first land and improved another farm. He lived there for several years and sold out and bought a farm and corn-mill on Big Ready Creek in the same county where he lived for about five or six years after which time he lived with his children until his death in 1862. James and Ellenender were early members of the United Baptist Church and James was also a Captian in the Kentucky State Militia for many years. Henry married Polly Johnson June 10, 1830 at Brownsville in Edmondson County, Kentucky. Polly died December 1, 1883 at Round Hill In Butler County, Kentucky. Henry and Polly had the following children:

1. William Riley Willis born April 20, 1837 in Brownsville and married Harriet Lucretia Brown on December 28, 1865 in Caneyville. He was a Captain in Company G 11th Kentucky Calvary in the Civil War for the Union, along with Elijah Covington Phelps and Oliver Johnson.

3. Martha Willis born 1842.

4. Hamilton Willis born 1842 and married Calendonia Hunt June 13, 1888.

3. Greenville Willis was born November 22, 1818 in Pulaski County, Kentucky and died December 29, 1884 in Butler County, Kentucky. He married Julie Ann Phelps , daughter of James Phelps and Ellenender Jones, on March 18, 1844 in Butler County, Kentucky. Julie was born in 1830 and died July 5, 1857 in Butler County, Kentucky. She and Greenville are buried at Therekel Cemetery in Butler County, Kentucky. They are the parents of Elige Covington Willis who married Martha Ann Whitaker.
